Community Minded - AMC Commercial Cleaning

Community Minded

We put wellbeing at the heart of everything we do.

We’re a family-owned business that believes in nurturing its people and communities.

We are actively involved in a wide variety of causes to ensure better business practices, a more inclusive society and a brighter future.

For nearly 35 years, we have been setting new benchmarks for cleaning and hygiene standards across Australia and New Zealand.

More recently we have been leading the way with fast, efficient and discreet specialist disinfectant services to minimise infection and ensure people can continue working safely while adjusting to a new normal.

Beyond Commercial Cleaning

Children’s Cancer Institute is the only independent medical research institute in Australia dedicated 100% to childhood cancer research, existing solely to cure children’s cancer and improve the quality of life for survivors.

We make our commitment in significant ways to raising funds for children’s cancer research by undertaking personal challenges such as CEO Dare, staff engagement initiatives and incorporating our commitment into strategies such as Cause Marketing.

We support Children’s Cancer Institute to help them pursue their goal of curing childhood cancer. With our help, we help them bring together the brightest minds, cutting-edge facilities, and the greatest determination, to get the job done.

AMC supports CCI

“It is an honour and a privilege to have been recognised by Her Excellency The Hon. Margaret Beazley, Governor of New South Wales with the Benefactor’s Award for AMC Commercial Cleaning’s commitment to Childhood Cancer Research over the years.”

Stephen Coade

We aim to support the development of diversified and resilient local economies that contribute to quality of life improvement that continues beyond the life of our operations.

During a long history of association as corporate partners of St. Kilda football club, we have had the privilege of being proud sponsors of Saints Next Generation Academy – Indigenous Program, from 2018 to 2022.

The Next Generation Academy aims to encourage, develop and enhance participation outcomes for talented players and help create more opportunities for multicultural and indigenous participants.

Together with AFL and St Kilda FC we founded the AMC Indigenous Scholarships. Each year, 15- 20 of the Bayside Region’s indigenous AFL hopefuls received entry to the AFL Next Generation Academy to realise their full potential.

AMC Commercial Cleaning provided 15 full time scholarships each year since 2018, for training and development. In addition to this, the AMC Indigenous Cadetship in collaboration with Saints and AFL Ready witnessed one school-leaver from the indigenous communities, each year, receiving hands-on work experience at St Kilda FC.

AMC and OneGirl

One Girl helps girls around the world complete their education. Studies have shown that education will improve a girl’s health, status, income and future, increasing the likelihood she’ll go on to educate her own family.

Ecohygiene, AMC’s hygiene division, is an official business changemaker partner, enabling girls in Sierra Leone and Uganda, where One Girl carries outreach programmes to attend school, develop life skills and demystifies taboos and myths related to feminine hygiene.

Who gives a crap

AMC is a supply-chain partner for Who Gives a Crap, a toilet paper distributor that donates half of its profits to improving water quality and sanitation to much-needed communities around the world.

AMC Ethical Sourcing

We make sure our cleaning products go beyond clean. That’s why we source products from Wirrpanda Supplies, who donate a portion of their profits to improve the quality of life for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and build sustainable communities.

AMC Commercial Cleaning is proud to support Victorian Aboriginal Childcare Agency (VACCA) with their Cultural Camp programme, which enriches the lives of Aboriginal children in out-of-home care.
These camps serve as important opportunities for Aboriginal youth to connect with their heritage through interactions with elders and engage in cultural activities alongside their peers. Emphasising the values of community, culture, and country, this programme is aimed as a life-affirming experience for children in foster care, empowering them to evolve into role models for their peers.

VACCA has been dedicated to safeguarding the rights of Aboriginal children and families for over 40 years. Through this partnership, AMC Commercial Cleaning is making significant contributions to VACCA, enabling the organisation to extend its reach and impact on the healing journeys of Aboriginal children and young people. With this collaborative effort, AMC together with VACCA aims to disrupt the cycles of disadvantage, fostering positive, long-term, and multi-generational change for the benefit of Aboriginal children and young individuals. Together, we are empowering them to cultivate strength and pride as they navigate their paths to a brighter future.

“Many of our cultural programs don’t receive government funding and are reliant on support from our donors and partner organisations to continue. Partnerships with organisations like AMC Commercial Cleaning enable us to continue to provide vital cultural supports, like our camps, to young people”

Muriel Bamblett, VACCA CEO.
