RAP 2025

As we acknowledge National Reconciliation Week 2025 on the theme, “Bridging Now to Next,” I’m pleased to share an update on our RAP journey.

One year ago, we launched AMC’s Reflect Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP), formalising our commitment to building respectful relationships between Australia’s First Peoples and non-Indigenous Australians. Our RAP guides us in addressing inequality and discrimination, by reviewing our policies and processes while influencing our employees, customers, and communities toward reconciliation.

This year, we marked National Reconciliation Week on the 27th of May at a morning tea at every one of our branches in Australia. Teagean Dunne, Our Regional Operations Supervisor, QLD, coming from Ngiyambaa Country in central-west NSW, acknowledged Country, “to honour the First Nations Peoples of this land, recognising their enduring connections to Country, Culture, Community and land”.

For AMC, today marks a significant milestone in our journey toward reconciliation. We welcome Alex Butchart, our upcoming first Aboriginal strategic partner in Western Australia. This partnership is a testament to our commitment to building meaningful relationships and fostering understanding.

We continue to deliver on our commitments towards Indigenous employment and Indigenous suppliers across the business.

Cultural representation also remains a priority. The commissioned artwork by Indigenous creative design agency, Ingeous Studios, led by Leigh Harris, has been proudly displayed in our AMC office since the RAP launch. This piece captures our reconciliation story – honouring connection to people, place, and purpose.

This year’s theme “Bridging Now to Next” reflects the need to keep moving forward – turning reflection into action with purpose and integrity.
