Be Brave. Make Change.

“Be Brave. Make Change.” is the challenge to all Australians this year as we mark National Reconciliation week 2022.

Over the years, AMC Commercial Cleaning have established outreach programs for the indigenous and Torres Island communities including partnering with St Kilda Football Club to award scholarships to young indigenous footballers from the bayside region.

Last year we also committed to source a percentage from indigenous suppliers in accordance with our ethical procurement policy.

“We can only bring about change by taking action and weaving it daily into the fabric of our organisation” says CEO Kristie Coade.

This year, we are pleased to announce the appointment of Naomi Prior as advisor to the Executive Board of AMC Commercial Cleaning. The objective is to explore how we as a company can contribute to achieving reconciliation in Australia”.

Naomi is a descendant of the Birri – Gubba people from North Queensland and has grown up and lives on the lands of the Boonwurrung/Bunurong people.

Naomi has 20 years’ experience working directly with Aboriginal people and with businesses who actively support and engage with local Aboriginal communities. Over the course of her career, Naomi has developed and implemented many plans and programs that have assisted the health and wellbeing of local Aboriginal people, whilst also supporting mainstream businesses and organisations on their journey of reconciliation.

“This will be a new chapter in our 32-year history as we look forward to learning about shared histories, cultures and achievements of the first nation and devise action plans around the core pillars of relationships, respect and opportunities” says Kristie Coade.
